DAY 1

From Kuwait to UAE

American University of the Middle East (AUM) are on route from Kuwait for their pre-season tour.

We welcome athletes from AUM’s mens and women’s football, men’s and women’s basketball and also their padel squad.

We have an amazing weekend lined up for them - welcome to the UAE!

Abu Dhabi

The teams have landed and are ready for a huge weekend of sport. Here are the basketball players, sponsored by “Nike Sliders” (socks encouraged).

DAY 2

Training Underway

We have training sessions underway for all sports at 321 Hudayriyat Island.

Men’s football first up - making the most of the cooler morning temperatures, getting some preparation before their fixture later this evening!

Women’s Basketball

Our female basketball players headed back to 321 Sports after lunch for their afternoon fixture. We welcomed Abu Dhabi University to the venue and they served up a fantastic game, with plenty of highlights!

Women’s Football

AUM’s female footballers got the chance to play against Abu Dhabi University in the indoor venue at 321 Sports. Another excellent match and great preparation for both team as they work towards their competitive seasons.

Game Time (Padel)

AUM’s Padel athletes made their way to the Gaby Reca Centre, where they were competing in a competition against some of the best players the club had available.

Some incredible quality on show - we will be sure to welcome these athletes back in the future for the next TWEDEX staff competition!

Delighted to have so many female athletes with us this week - some absolutely superb padel on show from the AUM team!

Men’s Basketball

After our female basketball players were done, it was the chance of the male basketball squads from AUM and ADU to compete in the top quality venue of 321 Sports. Another highly competitive and quality matchup - this will serve as great preparation as these teams shape up for their regular season matches in the next few weeks.

Men’s Football

Across the road at 321’s outdoor venue, the male football side played against local opposition Ole FC. An excellent match for both sides to stretch and test themselves against new opponents - AUM with the beginning of their season on the horizon got a great chance to further prepare themselves for competitive matches.

Great performance by the Men’s Football team as they win their match versus Ole FC!rapped up the day with an exciting visit to the famous Night Safari, discovering the wonders of wildlife after dark!

Day 3

Recovery

The group spent the morning recovering at the hotel facilities. This gave the coaches a chance to connect with our TWEDEX staff - we were very happy to be given some AUM pennants which we will proudly hang in our new offices!

After checking out, we headed to YAS mall for some retail therapy, before the group headed to the airport for their return to Kuwait.
