Lets Go!!
Straight from school, raring to go, JESS hit the road for their high performance pre season camp in Abu Dhabi. First up was a tactical pre match session for the girls followed by back-to-back games for the boys squads.
The boys proved far too strong for BSAK, brushing them aside to get their camp off to a flying start!
Games and Sessions
The evening brought about the first girls session and the boys got a real feel of professional life. 2 incredible pitches on show, under the lights, hard to beat!
Fitness + Hard Work
A very tight first half for the girls in the humid conditions. There wasn’t much in it until JESS’ impressive fitness and quality shone through the longer the game went on. They ran out eventual winners before a lovely post-match meal with the opposition. Both camps off to a flier. Roll on Day 2.
Team Building Time
Time for some Padel! This group just love to keep active, great to see. An absolute blast this morning before the girls head to fixture number 2 and the boys split for some recovery and light training.
Girls Game
The evening brought about a brilliant experience for the girls playing against none other than one of the best girls academies in the UAE. Impressive patterns of play on show from both sides where JESS suffered a narrow defeat. A brilliant learning for the girls and no doubt they’ll bounce back with the season incoming.
Time for Tactics
While the girls were having their second match, the boys were being put through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s game. Back out on none other than the FIFA Approved pitch at our hotel. Shape work, passing drills and some finishing competitions capped off the last boys session.
Downtime
Finally a break for this hectic bunch as Wagamamas received their record order of 52 Katsu curries. No surprises there. A lovely evening.
Last Hoorah
For our final day we finish strong with both boys squads playing against one of the top academies in the UAE. The girls were out early for some on pitch recovery and a light hearted session. Given the choice of whether or not the girls wanted to come support the boys, was there any other answer with a JESS group? A resounding yes. Great to see
