Repton Al Barsha Visit Repton UK

Day 1 | Friday 6th June

Repton Al Barsha set off from Dubai this morning on their annual visit to their sister school in England.

After arriving in Manchester at lunchtime, the Dubai students headed straight to Repton Prep where the were greeted by school staff and given a tour of the impressive school buildings and grounds.

Day 1 | Friday 6th June

After a tour of the school, the Repton Al Barsha netballers took on their English counterparts in some matches on Friday afternoon.

A big well done to all of the girls who took part in some great games!


Boys Football Take to the Field

Day 1 | Friday 6th June

While the girls were facing off on the netball court, the boys footballers took to the grass for some friendly matches against their Repton Prep hosts.

On a lovely early summer's afternoon, there was some great play on show from both schools to round off a busy first day on tour!

Repton School Tour

Day 2 | Sat 7th June

On their second day in the UK, Repton Al Barsha's students headed to the original Repton School for a tour of the amazing grounds and facilities.

The original Repton arch, which has been replicated in Dubai, was the perfect spot to stop for a quick photo!

Sports Facilities Tour

Day 2 | Sat 7th June

Alongside the historic school grounds and buildings, Repton UK also boasts some state-of-the-art modern sports facilities which their students can enjoy year-round.


Water Sports Time!

Day 3 | Sun 8th June

First up on Sunday was a visit to the much-anticipated Spring Lakes for some water sports action.

With a combination of knee boarding, Aqua Park and paddle boarding - it was a busy morning filled with fun and learning for Repton's students!

Loughborough University Tour

Day 4 | Mon 9th June

Monday morning saw the Repton students visit Loughborough University for a tour of their brilliant sports facilities.

Home to lots of Olympic and Paralympic medallists - Loughborough is the world's best university for sport, and the Repton Al Barsha students got a chance to see it up close during their visit!

Loughborough Lightning Netball Session

Day 4 | Mon 9th June

After a tour of campus and some lunch at Loughborough University, it was time to get back into sports mode with a couple of coaching sessions led by university coaches.

Cricket Time!

Day 4 | Mon 9th June

While the girls were inside tuning up their netball skills, the boys were out on the grass for some cricket!

Led by three staff from the university, the boys kitted up and got stuck in to some drills to improve their fielding skills at the Graham Dilley Pavilion.

Adrenalin, Competition & Retail Therapy

Day 5 | Tue 10 June

Today was another action-packed day for the Repton Al Barsha tour group here in the UK.

We kicked things off with breakfast before heading to the Yorkshire Activity Centre, where the students got stuck into an energetic morning of Laser Tag and Tag Archery, a perfect mix of fun, focus, and friendly competition.

After lunch, we made our way to Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate for our cricket fixtures. The games were well contested, with great displays of teamwork and sportsmanship from both sides. A huge thank you to Queen Ethelburga for being such generous hosts.

To wind down, the group enjoyed some free time exploring Monks Cross Shopping Centre, before ending the day with a creative and delicious Build Your Burger dinner experience.

Another memorable day on tour, blending sport, adventure, with a dose of retail therapy!

Bouldering Netball & Football

Day 6 | Wed 11th June

Our last full day on tour started with a big breakfast before heading to Freeklime for an exciting indoor bouldering session a real test of agility and teamwork.

In the afternoon, we returned to Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate for our final football and netball fixtures, with great energy and sportsmanship all round.

We wrapped up the day with a fun pizza night, followed by our end of tour awards, a lively session full of laughs, great memories, and well-deserved recognition!
