Day 1

Bardo Bound!

After our flight from Dubai, the group were treated to a fresh but sunny Milan - plenty of smiling faces despite the tiredness! We will be heading up to the mountain shortly once the bus is loaded!

Day 2

Bardo!

Our beginner skiers started their adventure today, splitting into three groups, each led by a dedicated ski instructor. By 9:00am, everyone was geared up and ready to take on their very first slopes (well maybe it was closer to 10:00am, but it was the first day!).

The morning was spent getting comfortable on skis, practising balance, learning how to glide, and celebrating those first successful turns. After a warm and well-deserved lunch, the groups headed back out for an afternoon session, building confidence and picking up new skills with every run.

Games Night!

After a lovely dinner, the group took the opportunity to use the brilliant spaces in the hotel - pool tables, table tennis or table football. Lots of energy still in the system it would seem!

Day 3

Ski Day

A lovely crisp morning here in Bardonecchia - we are off to do our first session of the day. With the public holiday yesterday, the resort was very busy - but totally we nearly have the whole place to ourselves! Ideal learning environment for the students.

Afternoon Session

After a hearty lunch, the students were back at the resort for the afternoon session. The slopes were pretty much all ours again making it a great learning environment for everyone. After the ski lessons, we had some much needed downtime before dinner and then some of the groups had a marathon pool competition with Mr Matthews!

Day 4

Ski Day #3

We are up and raring to go again. Another beautiful day on the cards - crisp and sunny here in Bardonecchia. After a great sleep and lovely breakfast, the groups are up at the mountain ready for their morning sessions. A great day on the cards!

Afternoon Session

Simply beautiful! The temperature today, mixed with some heavy use of the snow machines gave us an amazing afternoon in Bardonecchia. All of our groups have now made it up to the main gondola and the blue runs, with our advanced group taking on the red slopes while getting stretched by the ski instructors.

Swimming Time!

Our boys are currently getting a slot in the swimming pool, while the girls take a walk into the town centre. Tonight, we have some team building games planned for the group after dinner!

Day 5

Ski Day #4

Another absolutely beautiful day in Bardonecchia as our groups head out for their fourth day on the slopes. Despite some tired legs, the group are in good spirits and still making great progress!

Afternoon Session

Don’t worry - this photo was staged! The students are absolutely soldiering through - the energy levels are dropping ever so slightly; so it’s a good job we have an authentic Italian pizza night later to give them the fuel for the final day!

Authentic Italian restaurant, authentic Italian pizza. Enough said. Lots of happy faces after that one!

Day 6

Final Ski Day

We’ve woken up to amazing news - most of the piste is open! Any student who was feeling a little tired now has a spring in their step - they are up and ready to go. Final day on the slopes - looking forward to it!

Afternoon Session

We are getting ready for our final session on the slopes - we have our “exam” to do in front of the instructors for them to determine what level they will receive in the awards ceremony. Andiamo!

Alpine Coaster

after our final ski session, we got the chance to enjoy the famous Bardonecchia Alpine Coaster - 1 kilometer of thrilling mountain side roller coaster!

Awards Session

Our students were awarded their certificates from the instructors today with a beautiful mountain backdrop! Well done to all!

Day 7

Check Out

We wave goodbye to the glorious snow capped mountains as we make our way back towards Milan.

However we have a very fun stop coming up - Juventus FC and the connecting Area 12 Mall! A great opportunity for the students to get a different immersion into Italian culture and history - photos to follow!

Juventus!

With our late flight out of Italy, we have taken the opportunity to visit one of the most famous football clubs in the world - Juventus FC. We also got a chance to spend sometime in the nearby Area 12 Shopping Mall - the students have managed to acquire some souvenirs! We are now on our way to the airport - our flight is scheduled to depart at 21:20 local time and we are due to land at 06:30 tomorrow morning. See you soon!
